May 24 First Day!

Sweet! First open water swim at Kelso is in the log book. It was a great morning to be at the lake. Calm waters, comfortable temperature, and a group of eager triathletes ready to swim. A few first for 2009. First person to register, Jane Wood. First person to swim a loop, Calvin Snow. First person to wear a speedo, Marco Sadeghi, and he swam for 40 minutes!

Just over 20 people entered the water for a swim today. The water was 65 degrees and once you got over the initial face freeze, 2-3 minutes, it was a great day for a swim. Over 30 people have registered and we expect to see more people next Sat May 30 at 8:30 am.
