I am very pleased to announce a wetsuit demo day. On Thursday June 10th, Steve Fleck from Nineteen Wetsuits will be available with a fleet of Nineteen Frequency Wetsuits for demo in the lake. He will also be able to answer any questions regarding wetsuit sizing and fitting. This is an exclusive opportunity for members of the Kelso Open Water Swim Club however if you have a friend who may be interested, please contact me (kelsoopenwaterswimming@bell.net).
Nineteen is a Canadian company with their head office located in Toronto. They have achieved international success with their line of wetsuits and speed suits. All you have to do is look around at your next race and you'll see many triathletes wearing Nineteen. The success of Nineteen doesn't end at the grassroots level as sponsored athlete Tereza Macel has some of the fastest swim splits on the Ironman circuit. In addition, Olympic Medalist Simon Whitfield recently signed with Nineteen and will wear their products from now through the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Included on the Nineteen website is a very useful wetsuit user guide that is worth a read and a bookmark for future reference.
I love this quote from their website "Nineteen. Its not just a number. It represents the goals and dreams of every triathlete. From the excitement of entering your first triathlon to the achievement of setting a personal best - even making is all the way to Highway 19, The Queen K on the Kona Coast. For Nineeen Wetsuits, its the act of turning your dreams into reality."
Local retailers who carry Nineteen Wetsuits include Running Free, Foot Tools and Enduro Sport.
