Cancelled Swim

We are very disappointed to report that the Kelso Beach is currently unsafe for swimming. We have experienced water testing results that are above the acceptable limit.

Kelso has experienced a water test that has resulted in high levels of bacteria that may pose a risk to your health. We will have results from a new test in one week’s time. This is only the second poor test experienced by Kelso in the past 4 summers. My apologies to everyone who drove out to Kelso in anticipation of a swim tonight. This took everyone by surprise and we did our best to confirm the information and send it out to everyone involved. Since the next test will not occur until next week you can assume that the swim on Saturday June 11 will also be cancelled. Stay tuned to the blog, Facebook and email for updates.
